How long does each floss head last and where do I get them?

About 1 week! Our floss heads are reusable (like your toothbrush!). All Slate floss head styles & colors are interchangeable on all models of Slate flossers! Subscribe and save on refill heads for a 10% discount.

Are the Slate Electric Flosser models waterproof?

Both of our electric flossers (Pro and Origin) are safe to use in the shower if you’d like.

We do recommend that you allow the floss head to fully dry between uses to prevent bacteria growth.

Does it work with braces, crowns, or veneers?

Yes! Slate offers Orthodontic floss heads specifically designed for bracket-and-wire braces. Origin is also safe to use around crowns and veneers. All floss head styles are interchangeable across all Slate models.

Can the Slate Flosser be used with a lingual bar (permanent retainer)?

At this time, we do not offer any Slate products that are able to work in areas with a bridge. You can still use the Slate Flosser and floss heads on your molars, where most cavities form!
